My kid got invited again to dance during the intermission of DLA Palaro '09 by Teacher
Avic, she's my son's adviser two years ago. Along with his friends in grade 3 level (Trish,
Patis, Yurie & Ken). These kids are somewhat like my adopted children! (At sila rin ang
suking mananayaw ni T. Avic!). This time, they got to do a hip-hop dance which is a big
change from the ballroom dance they usually did for the past two years.

My Little One's School Intramurals for his grade level. It was a 3-day event, from January 9-11. For the first day, my kid was chosen once again to participate for the school intermission dance. On the second day, they won the games but sadly on the third day they lost. The grade 2 pupils (afternoon class), won by 3 points. The score was, Lugia Team 55 points while my kid's team, Vaporeon had only 52 points. He cried because he wanted the trophy badly for his team. But also, accepted the fact that they lost and he is looking forward to next year's Intramurals. Well, I can't blamed him. Out of the 6 games played, he was favorably picked by his teachers to play the 5 games. As you may know, my kid is very energetic though he lacks the height. He has a built in speed, balance and stamina to do the obstacles required for every game. And you can obviously see in the pictures, he exerted all his best efforts to win. Their team was always cheering for him, even the mommies of his classmates were shouting my kid's name. He was always first on the line, always first to participate in every game he joined. Though, they lost and never got the trophy. My kid won new friends. Also, the experience and memories he would cherish (",)

Kulit's 8th Birthday..... A Surprise Party!!!

Two days before my Little One's 8th bday, my hubby and I, decided to have it at Mc Donald's Las Pinas rather the first planned pajama party in our home with his cousins and looban kids only. We also decided not to tell Kulit about the change of plan. It was a hectic two days of preparing his give-aways and inviting his friends without him knowing while juggling his Kumon and Skating schedule. Every friday, we're at the rink for his skating lessons and practice. I'll just let the pictures tell you how the party went.... I'm glad to say my kiddo was really surprise and happy (",)

Kulit's birthday presents

On the day of my Little One's special day, he was so excited about the pajama party! He even wrote on a piece of paper to remind me the details for the party... like the food, balloons, invited guests and specially the games. I just nodded and told him, "don't worry, it's under control!". He didn't had any ideas the plans for his birthday had changed. The surprise birthday party was scheduled at 7 pm. I made his invited guests to come in blue-colored clothes and to be there at 6.30 pm. Well, I needed them for the big shout... to say "SURPRISE!!!" before the party begins. Kulit was so overwhelmed that he wasn't able to say anything, he just smiled and waved his right hand like a beauty queen (nag-feeling ta-ar-tits!!! hehehe). Then, he ran to Ate Kaye and hugged her!

The party was great. Everybody had fun, specially the kids. It was worth all the white lies I told my kid... well, if I didn't. I wouldn't be able to push through with the surprise party!

Thanks for all the re-pa-pips who came for my kiddo's 8th birthday!!! You really made my kid happy!

DLA's Christmas Party

These photos were taken earlier today. It's my Little One's Christmas Party in school.

Field Trip

Last August 29, my Little One had their field trip. I accompanied him. We went to Manila Zoo, Kinder Zoo, Planetarium and watched "Aladdin Jr." in Greenbelt Theatre. It's only in the zoo we're allowed to take pictures. Kinder Zoo is inside Manila Zoo. Also, it's a petting zoo. My kiddo was so excited touching and holding the animals, even the python! Well, it only shows he is an animal lover like his father. He even asked me, if we could take home the animals .... he meant all, including the elephant! LOL (",)

Nutrition Week in School

For the celebration of Nutrition Week, which was held last July 24 to 28. My Little One had a project in school with the theme: "KUMAIN NG RIGHT PARA BATA MAGING BRIGHT". It's a hat of nutritious food and should use indigenous materials. My knack for something different than the usual got into me…. Yup, its my idea that the chicken sit right up on top of the hat, hehehe! Unique, right? It really caught the attention of his teachers and classmates! Well, it got the first place!

It took us 4 days to finish the hat with the help of Tito Jonathan, who shaped the chicken, fruits and vegetables, using only old newspapers. The bread around the hat that looks like floating slices of bread is really the real thing. I got the idea from my son’s fave art show. They used the bread as a canvas so you can draw stuff on it. My Little One also helped (dapat lang project nya to eh!) he’s the one who glued the crumpled tissue that looks like green leafy veggies. Actually, it’s his idea also.….. fyi, all the food on his hat are his favorites (“,)
