WS - Grocery Shopping

Join here.

Just after the ballet & jazz classes plus the school dance practice of my lil'One last Saturday. Together with his two favorite dancemates, the two Patricias and my Kulit had their snack at Chowking, which I forgot to take pictures because I've been chatting with their moms, Maricel & Lhyn. After that, before we hit home. We passed by Topline Supermarket in RFC and did some grocery shopping.

Camera-Critters Weekend #18

Camera Critters

Join here.

Been raining for couple of days. It's just today I see Mr. Sun shining down. Because of this, there are lots of frogs creeping and jumping in our backyard. In the photo above is a baby frog that is half inch in length, just the same size of a Philippine 5 centavo coin.

La.Pi.S #4 - Summer Drinks

Join here.

We have an Indian mango tree in our backyard. Every summer time, it gives us plenty of fruits. Sometimes, because of this, the fruits gets over ripe. That's why I came up with this drink. I don't like the idea, that food would go into waste without any effort not to. Instead of using the kalabaw variety of mango, I used what I have abundantly in my backyard. Here is the recipe.

Our New Pup

Her name is Sydney. That's the name my kiddo wanted for the newest member of the Addams family, that's us! She's a pure breed Rottweiler, 2 months old. We just got her today. After dropping Kulit to school earlier. We went to the vet, Dr. Hans, to see her. He gave Sydney a pill for deworming. After a week, we will be back there again for some shots she needs.

Priceless!

As I was about to start cooking dinner. When i open our faucet... viola! no water! Grrr! our water supply lately is very erratic. Outside before you reach our village you will see a lot of pipes leaking. Even if you report it to the authorities. There is no action done.

Hayyy! Usually, by ths time the water supply is fine until 11 pm. It's really hard to cook and clean afterwards the kitchen if your water is limited. Got so irritated. The husband even told me not to cook anymore and just have our food delivered. But I didn't feel like it. I just continue what I had started. While doing so, our Lil'one asked me, "Ma, are you okay?" (Ma, ok ka lang?). I said, "No, I'm not okay." and asked him why? He told me, "I thought your mad at me because your angry." I told him, "I'm not mad at you. Why would I be mad at you? It's just that, I'm so irritated that there's no water again!" He just gave a big hug and kissed me on the cheek. sweet, isn't he? My kiddo maybe makulit but he's also very sweet and affectionate. In an instant he can make me smile, takes away my being irritated. This is one of the good things of being a mom.... priceless!

Weekend Snapshot - Goofing With The Camera

Yesterday, we experienced a typhoon, named Frank. It got heavy rains and strong winds. It flooded our street and our backyard. Hubby and I, we goofed around with the camera because there's nothing else to do! There's no electricity, early in the morning until the afternoon. We can't use the tv or blog! (",) In the photo above, Hubby is holding a little froggy. A half an inch frog... that's how small it is!!!

Storm Frank

Our flooded street.

Since yesterday, it was gloomy because of the heavy rains storm Frank been giving us. When I got up this morning. I saw our street been flooded with rain water, until now as I'm typing this (buti na lang sa labas lang ng bahay hindi sa loob!). Even our backyard been like that too. Plus the fact, that as early as 4 am this morning the electricity died on us. Fortunately, after several hours it came back, at around 1 pm. A great relief for me! I thought it will be gone again for a long time. Like what happened when storm Milenyo hits Manila two years ago. We did not had electricity, for 7 straight days! What a week of discomfort!.... and a very traumatic experience!

According to the husband, who's always updated about the current news. The weather here in Manila will be like this for several days, about a week. Nyaaayy! The good thing about storm Frank is, it's not humid and hot anymore. But I bet, after several days of rain water in flooded areas, lots of mosquitoes will be lurking around again! tsk, tsk, tsk!

Spoiled Brat!

Everyone here in our home loves to eat bananas, it's a family favorite. Have you seen a dog who loves to eat fruits and veggies? That's our dear Luigi! Also, would you believe he loves fish more than meat. Next time, I'll post a photo of him eating his favorite "Sinigang"!!!

In the photo above, the husband is feeding him bananas after his weekly bath. He had three! Maybe you're wondering why is he fed still by hand though he's a big dog now.... Well, he likes it that way! If not, he wouldn't eat. A spoiled brat! (",)

Weekend Snapshot - Hannah

Ninong Kulit kissing Hannah's foot.

Hannah eating (for someone so small she has a huge appetite!).

Tita Andeng washing Hannah's bottom.

sleeping like a log...

Got a pretty and cute visitor last Saturday. It's my kiddo's very first grandchild, Hannah. She's also her cousin from his father. She came with her mom, Apeng and Tita Andeng. We had a blast having her here in our home, making her cry, teasing, playing and feeding her. Fyi, like his Ninong Kulit, they are both small but terrible, both has huge appetite and both very charming! I hope as promised by her Mom, she'll be back again for a visit.

Weekend Snapshot - Planting Chili Plants

We just stayed home over the weekends. I had to review my kid for his 4th periodical tests. Sunday morning, my hubby and I, transferred the small chili plants in a plant area in which we both did. Yup, we cultivated the soil, like the farmers do in the province (as in, nag-asarol ako! salitan kami ni hubby!). Today, we both have body aches after doing that, hehe! (that's a sign of old age!). Inspite of that, we both had a great time (",)

Weekend Snapshots - Homebound

These photos were taken last Saturday, we just stayed home and rest, playing with our dog, Luigi (2nd pic) and digging some weird animals in our backyard for mere relaxation, hehe! (that's the salagubang I'm talking about!, 1st pic) I'm feeling so tired from all the skating practice and lesson my kid had the past week. Actually, I'm not complaining, it is just so tiring to bring him everyday to the rink after school. Honestly, I don't like going out. If I may, would really love just to stay home.

We'll be like this until February 8, then, he'll have his qualifying exam for the Grand Prix Skating Competition. If he'll be able to pass the test, he is qualified to join the said competition this coming March. That's why I have no time to blog. When I get home, I still have my household chores to attend to, plus guiding my Little One in doing his school and Kumon assignments.

With all these busy and crazy schedules and most of the time, feeling toxic and wasted, I'm happy to support my child in all the things he loves to do at such an early age. Thinking of that, wipes away all the body aches I have (",)
