Friday Is Noodle Day For My Lil'One

Today, is Lucky Me's Instant Pancit Canton Day or Noodle Day! That is, every Friday! That's the deal I had with my Lil'One. He is only allowed to eat instant nooodles once a week. He loves it so much, particularly instant pancit canton and goes ga-ga over it! I know, it is unhealthy because of the high level content of sodium and mono-sodium glutamate (MSG). That is why, it is only taken once a week. And also, a little reward for him after being a good kid in school.

After we got home from school, I immediately went to the kitchen, washed my hands and cooked 2 packs of instant pancit canton for his merienda. As he was putting his school bag in its proper place, changing his clothes and putting his school lunch box to the sink. You can see the eyes of my kiddo twinkling with glee! That's how much he loves noodles specially this one! The commercial of this product is true.... anti-sumpong.... anti-lowbat (",)

In the photo, my Lil'One is showing off his favorite Pancit'on (that's what he calls it!), in his two favorite flavors, "Kalamansi" (green package) and the "Sweet-Spicy" (orange package).

Weekend Snapshots - Pancit'on

The noodles you see in the picture is my Little One's all time favorite food, "Lucky Me Instant Pancit Canton". Though, not recommended by his pediatrician to feed him often, it is still a junk food considering it has a high-content of sodium and msg. An occasional treat for him, once a month. He loves this so much that he always begs for it (kung makikita nyo lang ang mukha nakakaawa talaga!). He had this yesterday for his snack in the afternoon. Yeap, my kid is little in size but he has a huge appetite.

My Yummy Breakfast

I just had my breakfast. As you can see, I love rice! can't seem to have enough of it. I'm such a rice person. Though, bad for my blood sugar, hehe! Plus, I love eggs too. I was quite bored with the usual "Hot-si-log" (Fried Hotdog, Garlic Fried Rice & Sunny Side-Up Egg). What I did was, to make a fried rice with tons of scrambled eggs in it. If you like to try it, here's the recipe...

  • 2 tbsps of cooking oil (I used sunflower oil for health reasons)
  • 4 eggs
  • salt and pepper
  • 4 cups of leftover cooked rice, mashed

In a pan or wok, over medium-high heat. Put oil. Heat lightly. Break the eggs unto the pan. Stir immediately. Sprinkle with a little salt. When half-done. Dump the rice. Add salt and pepper. Toss well. Cover. Cook until rice is fluffy. Stirring often. Serve.

Easy, right?! (",)

I ate it with my favorites, Purefoods Tender Juicy Jumbo Hotdog, 8 o' clock orange juice and a semi-ripe banana, for my fruit intake in the morning.

Purefoods Tender Juicy Jumbo Hotdog

another photo....

Nothing beats this! I love this food even when I was a little kid. It's one of my comfort food. Best with breakfast or snack in the afternoon. Also, my little one and my hubby love it, too! I like it topped with lots of mayonnaise on it!

Skinless Longganisa & Honeydew Melon

This was our lunch today, skinless longganisa and slices of melon. And some leftover soup and veggies from yesterday's "Sinigang na Bangus".
