PH: What Is That?

The baby you see in the photo above is my son's god daughter, her name is Hannah. Also, they our cousins from hubby's side. She's with Tita Andeng. Everytime Tita Andeng asks, "What is that?". She'll automatically points her right index finger. Cute baby... isn't she? (",)

PH - Support

The Macho Papas are wearing suspenders to support and secure their costumes. Taken (2nd pic) last year at SM-Southmall ice skating rink, after their last rehearsal. They competed this program at Skate Asia '07, held here in the Philippines and our first time to host this competition. It's an international figure skating event. They got a gold trophy for the Over-All Medium Production and silver individual medals (1st pic) for Event 110 Production Number against Hong Kong's Emerald De Cirque.

Photo Hunt 115 "Water"

Our boat trip going to Coco Beach Island Resort, Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro, Phils. last summer. Actually, I was taking a photo of my kiddo while he was enjoying the ride. But the trip was too bumpy because of the big waves. I can't keep my hand steady. Anyways, the picture was great! I got it while the water is splashing. Perfect for this week's theme!

Photo Hunt 114 "Emotion"

Taken two years ago at the rink, my Lil'One was crying after the incident of diving on the ice. He scratched half of his face as you can see in the photo. No one to blame because it was his fault. He can't seem to stop goofing around.... so malikot and makulit! You know kids... they will never stop until they get hurt...

For the past few years my H worked abroad. Most of the time, he's not here to celebrate special occasion with us. This photo is our very first family picture he was here with us during Christmas, taken 3 years ago. But the good thing now, he decided to stay with us and work here.

Photo Hunters - Theme: "Old-fashioned"

My mom calls it "platera". She inherited it from my grandmother. Now, she gave it to me. It's like a China cabinet you see most of the time in dining area of a house, but this kind is an old-fashioned one and I think it's only in the Philippines I see this kind of thing. Its usage is to put dining wares or silverwares in it but I prefer it to be my pantry for my kitchen and food supplies.

Photo Hunters - Theme: "Important"

These stuff (shown above) are important to me, they make me live a longer and healthier life. I inject myself with insulin and check my blood sugar twice a day, in the morning and evening, before breakfast and dinner. Being born to a family with genes of Diabetes, both of my parents have it. At the age of 16, I was diagnosed of having the disorder. The youngest to have it in our family. But now, both of my brothers have it also. Well, can't escape the fact that eventually we'll have it because it is in our genes. Living life with Diabetes is sometimes inconvenient and quite expensive but if you accept the idea that you have it and deal with it, it's not so hard anymore. I'm a living proof, half of my life I have this but still I live life just like a normal person, enjoying the things I love to do, just like everybody else!

Photo Hunters - Theme: "Delicious"

These photos are my entry for the photo hunt this week, with the theme, "delicious". For the first photo, you can see the banana blossom or banana heart beautifully hanging from the banana plant in our backyard. I harvested it and cook it in thick coconut milk, that's the second photo, which by the way, is one of my family's favorite, it's creamy and yummy! Here's the recipe. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do! c",)

Photo Hunters - Theme: "Messy"

The picture was taken almost two years ago. A messy background. Rhonaville Townhomes was still under construction the time I took this. The place is near our home and secured, my kid can skate all he wants without me worrying about the vehicles that he might bump into.
