It's been days the husband has been bugging me to watch Wanted. Supposedly, last Saturday, we were going to and meet Bunso and Tin, my friends at SM-Mall of Asia. Unfortunately, we can't! Simply because the Maynilad did not announced earlier that they going to cut the supply of water that day. We were out of water not even a single drop! How were we going to take a bath! Haaayy... Anyways, we just stayed home. I watched some DVD movies while munching the yummy popcorn that was a pasalubong for me yesterday from the husband.

Manic Monday #124

Who would you like to see on a new banknote (dollar bill, etc.)?
no one... can't seem to think of anyone right now!
If you were reincarnated as some other plant or animal, what would it be?
I would like to be a sea turtle.
If you owned your own restaurant, what would you call it?
I guess my name... D' Cooking Mudra!

La.Pi.S #4 - Summer Drinks

We have an Indian mango tree in our backyard. Every summer time, it gives us plenty of fruits. Sometimes, because of this, the fruits gets over ripe. That's why I came up with this drink. I don't like the idea, that food would go into waste without any effort not to. Instead of using the kalabaw variety of mango, I used what I have abundantly in my backyard. Here is the recipe.Foodshot Sundays - Pancit Malabon & Putong-puti From Lucy's Panciteria

Friday 5 for July 4: Food Television
1. If a traveling food show were to visit your neighborhood, what are some unique, regional foods it would spotlight, and where would it go to get them?
Last time, they did. They featured my leftover-makeover recipes.
2. On an American cable show, a celebrity chef surprises people by challenging them to a contest featuring their own specialties (he usually loses). If he challenged you to your specialty, what dish would you prepare?
I would prepare "Choletas", it is made of chicken stewed in a very creamy rich sauce.
If he challenged someone you know, what what that dish be, and how might the competition turn out? The dish might be kind of spicy and rich. I'm biased, I'll pick the food that was prepared by someone I know, LOL!
3. What are your feelings about cooking shows on television?
Ok, I think they're helpful in so many ways.
4. What kitchen gadgets have you purchased because you saw someone using them on television?
None. I love kitchen gadgets but I will purchase them because I need them not because someone popular is advertising it.
5. You get to (or have to, depending on how you feel about it) host your own food show on television. What will it be called and what’s it about?
I would name it, "D' COOKING MUDRA". It's all about my everyday feast! (",)

3. Your Name/Your Blog/True or False
Don’t tell me your age; you probably would tell a falsehood anyway-but your waiter may know!
DON’T CHEAT BY SCROLLING DOWN FIRST!
It takes less than a minute. Work this out as you read. Be sure you don’t read the bottom until you’ve worked it out! This is not one of those waste of time things, it’s fun.
1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to go out to eat. (more than once but less than 10)
2. Multiply this number by 2 (just to be bold)
3. Add 5
4. Multiply it by 50
5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1758…If you haven’t, add 1757.
6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born.
You should have a three digit number, The first digit of this was your original number. (I.e., How many times you want to go out to restaurants in a week.)
The next two numbers are YOUR AGE ! —— (Oh YES, it is!)
THIS IS THE ONLY YEAR (2008) IT WILL EVER WORK, SO SPREAD IT AROUND WHILE IT LASTS
