Mercifully, I don't think we have red ants around here. Black ones are bad enough in my book. I know that's short-sighted bug phobic talk. Pretty much everything but mosquitos have their uses. Cool shot.
In Indonesia I was once bitten by red ants while sitting on a bench. You have to look carefully before sitting down in these tropical countries. Their sting hurts awfully.
I couldn't see them at first...... ack! Those red ants sure can bite!!!
ReplyDeleteWe have red ants here too and you wouldn't want to be bitten by one. Very nice photo!
ReplyDeleteI Like!
ReplyDeleteThose are what we refer to as fire ants around here. Nice photo.
ReplyDeleteI'm all itchy now just looking at those ants. Great shot!
ReplyDeleteInteresting shot … not my favorite critters ;--) I’ve shared at Small Reflections today.
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings,
Ah yes - they are busy, busy, busy at work ;-) Great capture.

ReplyDeleteI really had to look to see them - but there they were! So shiny. We have red ants that are half black - they bite and it hurts!
